Ikechukwu Anyiam-Osigwe
Ikechukwu Anyiam-Osigwe is a visual artist and communicator based out of Lagos, Nigeria with a bachelor's degree in Illustration and Animation from the University from the Creative Arts, United Kingdom.
Ikechukwu’s practice engages with themes of community, relationships, economics, society, politics etc (exploring them) through different forms, mediums and material from digital to traditional, static to animated, sequential to non sequential narratives, ideas and thoughts.
A reason for his engagement in these themes and practices is his interest in the documentation of the times and spaces we find ourselves in, from that of the collective to the individual as all are important & relevant. This can be seen through his membership of the Nwaala Collective, as editor in chief of Soro Soke Mag, the sociological visual arts publication amongst others
Ikechukwu's work also involves narratives as he looks to tell the stories of the everyday and those of cultural importance; heavily influenced by cultures and the world around him, he lets that sieve into his work.
